Are you ready to get serious?

What’s up everyone Mandie here. So by now you all have had a chance to read the email I sent you about “What are you doing for your body?” and to check out the awesome package deals I’m offering.

Now it’s time to get serious about your bodies. I feel like many people are taking the “therapy” out of Massage Therapy.

Do you go to a Physical Therapist “one time” and expect results?
Do you go to a Chiropractor “one time” and expect results?
Do you go to the GYM “one time” and expect results?
Do you go to a Massage Therapist “one time” and expect results?

Do you go to “different” Physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and gyms every time you take care of your body?

If this is YOU then click away now and don’t waste my time, thank you.

To get results for your body to feel great and function properly YOU go to the same Professional for many visits to get THERAPY!

That’s what I’m offering for you as a Massage “therapist!” When you come to see me on a Regular Basis you get Therapy.
You feel better over time.
Your body functions better over time.
Your pain diminishes over time.
This cannot happen with one visit and going to multiple therapists. I know your body better and what it needs the more I work on it. For you as the client you don’t have to feel like you are starting over again and again every time you get a massage.

Now that I’m only working 3 days a week I don’t need a lot of clients. I want only SERIOUS CLIENTS. I am offering the FIRST 20 SERIOUS CLIENTS to come in for a massage once a month for a low price (as long as you come in within every 30 days, if not, the price goes up). These prices are based on the PREPAY for 4 Massage Deal. Otherwise, just buy one of the Prepay Deals whenever you finally want a massage therapy session.

FIRST 20 SERIOUS CLIENTS ONCE A MONTH OFFERS:
$35 for 60 minutes
$50 for 75 minutes
$65 for 90 minutes
YOU HAVE TILL JUNE 15 TO GET IN AT THESE SERIOUS RATES,
After that it goes up $10 each.
As far as ONLINE booking goes, I will no longer offer it. It allows too many excuses for you not to rebook when you’re done with your massage session. Again you are taking the Therapy out of Massage Therapy.

I appreciate all of you for using my service over the past few months, but now it’s time for me to get to those of you who are really serious about your body’s health. My goal of this email is for you to TAKE ACTION for YOUR HEALTH. I’m not asking you to empty your pocket books like doctors, chiropractors, and physical therapists do. I’m asking you to avoid going out to eat a meal or buy coffee a couple times a month, and get your massage on.

TAKE ACTION, MAKE IT HAPPEN. MANDIE DOKOS LMT 801-245-0415

What are you doing to take care of your body?

Hey everyone Mandie here. So I want to talk about what are you doing to take care of your body?
Many of us are going day to day with pain in our neck, shoulders, back from too many hours at an office desk or at your work.

PAIN can be caused from any motion you do in your life, whether it's staying completely still or actively moving weight. What do you do to manage your pain?

Do you ICE the hurting area for 10-15 minutes at a time?
Do you take relaxing HOT SALT BATHS to ease muscles?
Do you GET UP & MOVE at work to keep blood and oxygen flowing through those constricted muscles?
Do you STRETCH at all during the day? Both ACTIVE (moving stretch like wind mills) & STATIC (holding the stretch for 10seconds)
Do you take a TENNIS BALL or LACROSE BALL and use it to do MOBILITY WORK?
Do you EXERCISE 3-5 times a week?
Do you get MASSAGED @ LEAST 1 TIME A MONTH?

OR

Do you take PAIN MEDICATION to bandaid the pain?
Do you IGNORE the pain?
Are you HOPELESS to get the pain to go away?

When we don't keep our bodies moving the way they are intended to then our muscles shorten and toxins and lack of blood flow occur in our muscles. We develop constrictive knots in our once smooth pliable muscle layers. Before you know it you have pain in all kinds of forms: tingling, sharp, needle like, spasms, referring, achy, dull...PAIN!!!

Here is what MASSAGE can do for YOU:

Alleviate LOW-BACK PAIN and improve RANGE OF MOTION.

Assist with shorter, easier LABOR for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.

Ease MEDICATION dependence.

Enhance IMMUNITY by stimulating lymph flow—the body's natural defense system.

Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.

Help ATHLETES of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.

Improve the condition of the body's largest organ—the SKIN.

Increase joint FLEXIBILITY.

Lessen DEPRESSION and ANXIETY.

Promote tissue regeneration, reducing SCAR TISSUE and STRETCH MARKS.

Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving CIRCULATION.

Reduce postsurgery adhesions and swelling.

Reduce SPASMS and CRAMPING.

Relax and soften injured, tired, and OVERUSED MUSCLES.

Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body's natural PAIN KILLER.

Relieve MIGRAINE pain.

I have made changes to my schedule and pricing. I am only working Tuesday 12-7; Thursday 11:30-5:30; Saturdays for June 11:30-4:30 but starting in July 2:30-7.

3/26/11 Prioritizing and Life

Hello everyone Mandie here. So after a lot of consideration I decided to quit my BNI "business network international" group, and I'm focusing my attention on me, my family, spirituality, and work. Many of us struggle everyday with prioritizing our lives. How do you feel about that?

I realized that after starting to work for myself at the beginning of January that my mind is constantly on work. Well you only can be so productive in life when that happens. Let us not forget to take "ME TIME" so that's exactly what I'm doing on my days off. It's time for me to get a massage, go somewhere fun with my family, read a book, and focus on my relationship with my God. Again, What are YOU doing for your ME TIME?

Ways I am improving on Priorities in MY LIFE:

1. Working out 2 to 3 times a week. Why? This makes me feel good about my body physically, and feel better mentally it releases endorphins and clear my mind.

2. Spending more one on one time with my kids. Reading, writing, and playing.

3. To save time I listen on my Podcast to articles produced by the Watchtower and Awake (my spiritual food), I'm still working on regularity at my spiritual meetings.

4. Arranged my schedule to make sure my husband and I have time everyday to hang out with each other. When you're juggling schedules to not have a babysitter your relationship can get rocky.

5. I'm forcing myself to take care of my body. How? read on:

I'm not following the 4HB to a T but I am eating healthy foods and when I don't eat something healthy I make sure I start the next day off with a FRESH START. Don't focus on YESTERDAY focus on TODAY.

I also make sure to not worry about how many calories I'm taking in, but focusing on LISTENING TO MY BODY when it's hungry, thirsty, tired, etc. Also GET OFF THE SCALE.

Being a Massage Therapist people assume I get massages all the time. This is false. I do my best to get worked on every month, but that doesn't always happen. So my GOAL is to Make Myself get at least 1 massage a month!!!!! I realized after my last massage how yucky I felt from toxins being released that I need more regular body work. You may feel the same way after your sporatic massage.

Well this is all I feel like writing for now. Hopefully it got you thinking about "me time" and making sure you are doing what's most important in your life. Thanks all.

Four Hour Body update 3/3/11

I know I know it's been forever since I posted my progress with 4HB. I am still having success on the 4HB I'm down 12 1/2 inches total and like 5% body fat, but my weight is only a solid 9 pounds down. I've had my ups and downs over the past couple weeks. Got sick on one of my binge days from eating too much sodium, totally made me throw up and have a migraine the following day. I've tried to eat more balanced meals and eat more calories because I realized I haven't been consuming enough food and that's why my weight isn't going down. I'm taking a breather this week from the complete fat loss 4HB program. I'm eating 1 carb meal a day and I'm skipping my binge day this week. On a positive note, I have been working out 3 days a week doing various Kettle Bells exercises. I'm loving my workouts, and enjoying the benefits of weight loss. As far as personal issues I'm still going through forever now is my sleep or lack there of, and flatulence from the dam beans and veggies. I'm taking a digestive enzyme and making sure to take calcium and magnesium (before bed). I love the benefits I'm noticing from the garlic, green tea, and so on. I'm going to start taking the ORENDA pills for immunity and toxin flush out of the body. Keep up the good work and stick with it!!!!

Week 3 four hour body

I just finished up my week 3 of the 4 hour body-fat loss. I decided it wouldn't be best to do my weight and measurements since I'm a woman and well Aunt Flo came to visit which is making me retain more than normal. Halfway through week 3 I was down another 2 pounds, but when I got on the scale today I was up 3 pounds from week 2's results. Oh well it's not bugging me that my body is like this right now it's just what it is. My husband and I started our last glory eat day Friday night with a yummy pastrami cheeseburger, fries, root beer, and cheesecake for dessert. I had to work Saturday so I ate extra goodies before work and during. I have to admit when I got home Saturday from work after the 24 hour deadline I went ahead and continued eating bad food, bought a chicken teriyaki foot long from Subway and had 2 snack size candy bars. On Sunday I did really well being back on my fat-loss meal plan despite the agonizing cramps and lack of energy. Today was a challenge I had to co-op at my son's preschool, which means snack time is no good for me, so I stopped at the store on the way there and bought juice for the kids and pistachios for myself to eat at snack time. I was thrilled when the other mommy who co-oped brought carrots and celery for the kids...Yeah!! I can eat that. It was an exhausting 3 hours with twenty "4 year olds" but I survived and all in all it's been a good day. I haven't done my 20 minute kettle-bell exercises since Friday and I'm certainly not up for it today, but tomorrow I'm on it...that's my goal and I have to do it!
