3/26/11 Prioritizing and Life

Hello everyone Mandie here. So after a lot of consideration I decided to quit my BNI "business network international" group, and I'm focusing my attention on me, my family, spirituality, and work. Many of us struggle everyday with prioritizing our lives. How do you feel about that?

I realized that after starting to work for myself at the beginning of January that my mind is constantly on work. Well you only can be so productive in life when that happens. Let us not forget to take "ME TIME" so that's exactly what I'm doing on my days off. It's time for me to get a massage, go somewhere fun with my family, read a book, and focus on my relationship with my God. Again, What are YOU doing for your ME TIME?

Ways I am improving on Priorities in MY LIFE:

1. Working out 2 to 3 times a week. Why? This makes me feel good about my body physically, and feel better mentally it releases endorphins and clear my mind.

2. Spending more one on one time with my kids. Reading, writing, and playing.

3. To save time I listen on my Podcast to articles produced by the Watchtower and Awake (my spiritual food), I'm still working on regularity at my spiritual meetings.

4. Arranged my schedule to make sure my husband and I have time everyday to hang out with each other. When you're juggling schedules to not have a babysitter your relationship can get rocky.

5. I'm forcing myself to take care of my body. How? read on:

I'm not following the 4HB to a T but I am eating healthy foods and when I don't eat something healthy I make sure I start the next day off with a FRESH START. Don't focus on YESTERDAY focus on TODAY.

I also make sure to not worry about how many calories I'm taking in, but focusing on LISTENING TO MY BODY when it's hungry, thirsty, tired, etc. Also GET OFF THE SCALE.

Being a Massage Therapist people assume I get massages all the time. This is false. I do my best to get worked on every month, but that doesn't always happen. So my GOAL is to Make Myself get at least 1 massage a month!!!!! I realized after my last massage how yucky I felt from toxins being released that I need more regular body work. You may feel the same way after your sporatic massage.

Well this is all I feel like writing for now. Hopefully it got you thinking about "me time" and making sure you are doing what's most important in your life. Thanks all.
